Chick-Fil-A has been voted favorite restaurant for the eighth year and a row, and it has Twitter users up in arms.

While many people rushed to the social media platform to claim their love for Chick-Fil-A chicken, others rushed to make it political and to remind everyone what types of organizations the company supports.

Chick-Fil-A is a Christian business known for being closed on Sunday.

Founder, S. Truett Cathy once spoke about the decision to close on Sundays saying,

“One of the most visible examples of this is our decision to close on Sunday. Our decision to close on Sunday was our way of honoring God and of directing our attention to things that mattered more than our business.”

The company is also not supportive of gay culture. Many gay people have boycotted the restaurant over the years but that didn’t stop it from winning the title of America’s Favorite Restauarant.

Many users expressed their disdain for the restaurant on Twitter and warned other gay people and allies to avoid eating at the restaurant unless they were supporting their organizations and beliefs.

Other people defended the restaurant and said their food was good and their political or religious beliefs didn’t matter. Most people claimed that the restaurant had great customer service and quality food.

Chick-Fil-A has managed to hold the record for eight years, which means many people are either not interested in their opinions or are able to look past them in order to enjoy the food. How do you feel about the restaurant?
